Cathaoirleach Awards 2019

The Westmeath County Council Cathaoirleach Awards 2019 took place last night in the Bloomfield House Hotel.

Collinstown Action Group are delighted to say that we won the Age Friendly Recognition Award.  This is a National competition which is directed towards recognising improvements by local communities/groups and agencies to make Westmeath a “Better Place in Which to Grow Old”. The competition’s focus is on people coming together to shape, change and develop projects that improve the quality of life for older people and as a consequence the community as a whole.

Collinstown will now be put forward to the national competition and Collinstown Action Group will be working with everyone in the village to prepare for this.

Thank you to Virginia and Emily Jennings who attended the Cathaoirleach Awards on our behalf and collected our award.
