• Collinstown Tidy Towns was started many years ago by local people when they realised that towns and villages throughout the country were doing great things by coming together and doing small projects that enhance the village and provide opportunities for people to be involved. The National Tidy Towns Competition provides the opportunity to compete with other towns and village throughout the county and the country and we await the annual results with bated breadth to see if we have beaten other local villages like ours. There is a local Tidy Towns Committee and we work very closely with Collinstown Action Group, Collinstown National School, the GAA Club and, the Mens Shed and all groups with an interest in the village. We are proud when we see the village, not just looking great, but also contributing to the environment with trees and wildflowers. Watch out for Clean-up days. Everybody is welcome, including the kids.
