Our Brand New Pitch and Hurling Wall
Our brand new pitch is now complete with goalposts and we have our new hurling wall built too (see photos). This is a huge moment for the club and the culmination of many years of fundraising and voluntary work.
Our walking track will soon be fully lit up as will our new footpath from the village.
A visiting team from Galway who were here last week said they could not believe the facilities we have here. "Teams from Galway have won All Ireland Club Championships with lesser facilities than ye have here" the manager said.
There`s more to be done too to make the place more presentable and safe. We hope to complete the fencing and lighting over the next few months and this might mean a little bit more fundraising. Opportunities to raise funds for running costs and development work were scarce in 2020 and the majority of the big haul we got from the Night At The Oskars in 2019 has already been put to good use to provide these great new facilities.
