Outline of Events for Collinstown + Fore Parish Festival

Will open at the 10.00am Mass and 11.30am Mass next Sunday 22 September. The Parish Party takes place on Sunday 29 September, the Parish Draw will take place at the end of the Parish Party.

Outline of Festival

Monday 23rd September

St Feichin’s church 7.30pm

At this Mass we focus on how to stay close to Jesus without getting caught up and distracted by the hot button issues of the day. Fr Declan Hurley, VG and Adm. of Navan Parish will be the Celebrant and Speaker at the Mass. There will also be the blessing of hands. 

Tuesday 24th September

St Feichin’s church 7.30pm

At this Mass we celebrate God’s Love. Couples are invited to renew the marriage vows during the Mass and to receive a blessing after Mass. 

Wednesday 25th September

St Marys Church 7.30pm

On this evening we thank God for the gift of young people in our parish. There will be a special focus at the Mass on those preparing for 1st Holy Communion and Confirmation. Mr Simon Marriott, Youth for Christ, will be the guest speaker. 

Thursday 26th September

St Marys Church 7.30pm

On this evening we will prayer for all in our parsh who are in need of healing.  During the Mass the those who wish can avail of the sacrament of the  of the sick. Please tell friends and family about this special Mass, especially those who are ill, receiving treatment, feeling down in life, those going through a crisis or those going through the hurt of separation of bereavement.

Friday 27th September

St Marys Church 7.30pm

On Friday evening we will remembering and honour our loved ones called home to God. The guest speaker will be Rev Alastair Graham, All Saints Mullingar. Please bring photos of loved ones or memorial cards and leave them beside the Icon of the Holy Family.

Saturday 28th September

Blessing of Animals

10.30am St Feichin’s

We give thanks to God for the beauty and wonder of creation. A short prayer service and blessing of pets and animals will take place outside the church at the statue of St Feichin.

All dogs must be on a leash, with an adult looking after each dog.

5km run/walk

The Parish 5km run/walk will take place on Saturday 28 September at 12 noon from St Feichin’s church to St Mary’s church. There will be a free shuttle bus from the finish line after the refreshments. Free running top for everyone who enters online. Prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd.Thanks to CM Electrical & Carpentry Services for sponsoring the 5km run/walk this year.

Sunday 29th September

The Parish Party

On this day there will be only one Weekend Mass which will take place at 11.30am in St Mary’s church. As a community we will celebrate our faith and share food together. The Parish Draw will take place after Lunch.

We are inviting each family to bring a desert and drop it into the parish centre before Mass (something that can easily be divided and shared).Thanks to Youth for Christ who will be on hand with the Cage soccer.

There will also be bouncing castle for the young parishioners.

There will be refreshments after all of the sessions and we thank our volunteers for helping with this.
