Tidy Towns Planting Trees

Collinstown Tidy Towns would like to thank Mr. PJ Fitzpatrick director of Crann for coming to talk to us about the trees we have planted throughout the village.  In March the Tidy Towns volunteers planted over 50 trees throughout the village and we have put more in a nursery for planting out in a few years when they are more established.  These trees were organised for us by PJ Fitzpatrick of Crann and kindly sponsored by Coillte.

We planted a great mix of trees including whitethorn, rowen, birch, alder, holly and hazel and we look forward to seeing these trees mature and develop around the village.  Thank you to all the hardworking volunteers who helped to plant these trees.
